Restaurants Closing For the Slow Season in San Pedro and Ambergris Caye

Low season, slow season, storm season, off-season – the time of the year where tourists from the north are getting back to school and work (after summer vacation).  And the Caribbean is HOT and moist and most ripe for tropical storms.

Tourism slows and many businesses on Ambergris Caye take the time to renovate and rejuvenate.  To close for the slow season and take their own vacations.

There are so many great aspects to this time of year – prices are often lower on airfare and hotels, it’s a great time to really get to know the island with very few tourists, September is a month of Independence celebrations but…restaurants may be closed.  Not all, not during the whole two months but it’s a nice thing to know ahead of time.

SO here is the list of those closing and those that will be open throughout the low season months.  And please remember to NOT FREAK OUT!  According to Tripadvisor, there are 195 Restaurants on Ambergris Caye.

195 RESTAURANTS!!!!!!!!!  You will have no lack of choices when you visit.
